In our rituals, the western weapon of Water is the Chalice, symbol of the love and knowledge received. The chalice is the Cauldron of Plenty, the sacrificial cup of the Last Supper, and the Holy Grail, receptacle of the Life Force of the Aeon of the Age. It is properly borne by Gabriel, Angel of Annunciation, and from its depths pour rivers of Living Water.
The magician’s chalice must be received as a gift, for "no one may drink from his own cup."
